HOW IT WORKS
1. Funds are collected from public donations for a specific time frame &
total grant amount established
A qualified team at RGHGF will finalize requirements for the call for submissions and applications for the grant(s). The team will decide if the grant money will be split into multiple awards or a single award.
Application requirements will change according to total grant size, e.g.

$10,000 Grant: project narrative, research impact, milestones and deliverables, letter of support, and budgets will be requested for academic groups to fulfill needs such as consumables or technological equipment, chemical supplies, use of facilities, overhead costs required to conduct research.

$20,000 Grant: project narrative, research impact, milestones and deliverables, letter of support, and budgets will be requested for academic groups to fulfill needs such as consumables or technological equipment, chemical supplies, use of facilities, overhead costs required to conduct research.

$50,000 Grant: full project narrative, research impact, milestones and deliverables, letter of support, and budgets will be requested for academic groups to fulfill needs such as consumables or technological equipment, chemical supplies, use of facilities, part or full-time salary for graduate students, etc. required to conduct research.

Secondary grant application may be requested.
2. The open call for submission begins
Submission for the 2021 Richard G. Hankett Memorial Grant is not yet open. Details regarding submission requirements will be posted at a later date.
3. The window for submissions closes, and a volunteer panel(s) of scientific leaders reviews all submissions to choose the winner(s)!
RGHGF will take the greatest efforts possible to ensure that the judging panel is fair and impartial. If it is deemed that no submissions have been received that align well with subject matter within the open call period, the open call may be extended in time until a competitive set of applications is established.
